The Osmo Transparent Wood Finish 000 is a colorless silk matt wood treatment based on a natural oil base for all your wood outdoors. The Transparent Wood Finish is porous, it allows the wood to breathe and reduces swelling and shrinkage. The wood finish is water-resistant, will not crack, flake or peel. The Transparent Wood Finish 000 penetrates deep into the wood and makes the wood surface smoother, even with a single coat. Applying a Primer is not necessary.
The Osmo Transparent Wood Finish 000 can be used as a first layer but also as a top layer. It is always recommended to use the product in combination with an Osmo outdoor product with a color pigment. This ensures extremely good protection against UV radiation, etc. The Osmo Transparent Wood Finish is completely colorless (so no yellow glow) and therefore offers no protection against UV radiation. After drying, the finish is completely safe for humans, animals and plants (saliva and perspiration according to DIN 53160, suitable for children's toys according to EN 71.3).
Available sizes: 0.75 liters and 2.5 liters
1 liter is sufficient for about 16 m2 with one layer
Note : Raw, old wood or wood that has been left untreated outside often absorbs more oil, so more oil is needed than normal. With new wood, it is recommended to let the wood weather for a few weeks first. This ensures that the wood is more resistant to the outdoor climate. After weathering, the wood can be treated with our Osmo Houtonggrijzer .
Tip : always purchase a little more product than for the recommended square meters. You can always maintain and update the surface annually with this Osmo oil.
Note: For surfaces that have already been treated with Osmo or with another brand or product, a test should always be made first. When renovating, the advice is always to apply a maximum of one layer.
Important : Cloths, brushes and rollers, etc. used to apply this oil must be rinsed well with water as there is always a risk of spontaneous combustion. Therefore, always rinse it well with water before throwing it away, after it has dried, everything can go with normal household waste.
